4. Jelgava

Fact: This city is situated right in the center of Latvia and is a home to the country`s third-largest university.The university itself is located in Jelgava Palace.Jelgava palace is a former residence of the Dukes Courland and Semigallia and also the largest Baroque-style palace in the Baltics.The palace is open to visitors.

5. Jurmala

Population: 56 646 people
Fact: This quite long town with its white, sandy beaches is the only resort town in Latvia.
